ELIBILITY FOR PAKISTAN ARMY

Joining the Army is the dream of every brave citizen, a call to defend the nation with courage that knows no limits. There are various courses in the Pakistan Army. Applicants for these courses must be citizens of Pakistan and fulfill the eligibility criteria for each course as follows (Year: 2025):

   Eligibility for PMA Long Course

1. Intermediate (FA/FSc) or equivalent with at least 55% marks,
   or
2. Intermediate with at least 50% marks if the applicant has scored 60% in Bachelors,
   or
3. Intermediate with 55% marks for applicants belonging to the following areas:
   Mansehra KP, FATA, Dir, Chitral, Kohistan, Gilgit Baltistan, District Neelam (Azad Jammu & Kashmir), Tehsil Bala Kot (Naran, Kaghan), Tehsil Umar Kot and Tharparkar in Sindh, District Rajanpur, Derawar Fort, Cholistan Desert, Mojgarh, Salamsar, Dingarh (Punjab).
   or
4. Intermediate with 50% marks for applicants currently serving as Army Soldiers.

Nationality, Age & Gender

• Citizen of Pakistan or permanent residents of Azad Kashmir or Gilgit Baltistan fulfilling the following age criteria:
• Intermediate: 17–22 years
• Graduates (2-year program): 17–23 years
• Graduates (4-year program): 17–24 years
• Serving Army Soldiers: 17–25 years
• Gender: Male
• Marital Status: Unmarried (married serving personnel of Armed Forces over age 20 are eligible)
• Minimum Height: 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm)
• Weight: As per Body Mass Index (BMI)

   Eligibility for Technical Cadet Course

Education

1. FSc (Pre-Engineering) – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Computer Science/Computer Studies with at least 65% marks,
   or
2. A-Level (English compulsory) and passed in 5 subjects – Physics, Maths, Chemistry/Computer Science/Computer Studies with Grade A–C.

Notes:

• Candidates with O/A Levels are required to provide an equivalence certificate from IBCC.
• Candidates who have cleared the 1st year of FSc with 65% and are appearing in the 2nd year exam or awaiting results can apply with a ‘hope certificate’.
• Candidates who have Computer Science instead of Chemistry in Intermediate can only apply for Computer Software Engineering.
