Eligibility for Pakistan Navy: ISSB Test

Joining the Navy is a dream for those who seek adventure, honor, and the eternal call of the sea in service of their country. There are various courses offered by the Pakistan Navy. Applicants for these courses must be citizens of Pakistan and fulfill the eligibility criteria for each course as follows (Year: 2025):

1. PN Cadet (Permanent Commission)

Education:

• Both Matric (or O-level) and F.Sc (or A-level) with at least 60% marks.
• Candidates must have passed F.Sc (or A-level) with the following subjects:
• Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry
• or Physics, Mathematics & Computer Science
• or Physics, Mathematics & Statistics

• Gender: Male
• Marital Status: Unmarried
• Age:

• Civilian applicant: 16½ to 21 years
• Serving applicant: 17 to 23 years
  Minimum Height: 5 feet 4 inches

2. Education Branch (Short Service Commission)

Education: MA/MSc/BE or equivalent (16 years of education) with at least 1st Division in any of the following:

• Psychology
• Mathematics
• Chemistry
• Physics
• Computer Sciences
• English
• Pakistan Studies
• Other subjects as specified in the advertisement

• Gender: Male/Female
• Age: Up to 28 years
• Height:

• Male Height: 5 feet 4 inches
• Female Height: 5 feet

■ Selection Process:

After the course is advertised, candidates must undergo the following steps:

1. Online Registration
2. Entry Test
3. Initial Medical Examination & Interview
4. ISSB Tests
5. Medical Screening at CMH/PN Hospital
6. Final Selection

3. Operations Branch (Aviation, Submarine, SSG(N), & Marine)

• Education: Graduation (14 years or above) with at least 60% marks, and candidates must have obtained 60% marks in F.Sc or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics.
• Gender: Male
• Age: Up to 26 years
• Minimum Height: 5 feet 4 inches

4. Weapon Engineering Branch (Short Service Commission)

• Education: BE in Electronics with minimum 70% marks (or CGPA 3.0)
• Age: Up to 27 years
• Gender: Male
• Height: 5 feet 4 inches

5. Marine Engineering Branch (Short Service Commission)

• Education: BE in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 70% marks (or CGPA 3.0)
• Age: Up to 27 years
• Gender: Male
• Height: 5 feet 4 inches

6. Special Branch – IT (Short Service Commission)

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s (16 years) with minimum 60% marks (or 2.5 CGPA) in:

• Software Engineering
• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Information Security
  
  

• Preference: Networking and Software Development / Oracle / SQL / Java
  
  

• Age: Up to 27 years
• Gender: Male/Female
• Height:

• Male: 5 feet 4 inches
• Female: 5 feet

7. Supply Branch (for Male)

• Education: B.Com / BBA (CM) / M.Com / MA Commerce / MBA (Finance/Marketing) with at least 60% marks (or CGPA 2.5)
• Age: Up to 26 years
• Height: 5 feet 4 inches
