Indirect Speech for Modals (Can, May, Should etc)

انگریزی میں   Must,    Can,    May,    Should     جیسے الفاظ کو   Modals     کہا جاتا ہے۔جن جملوں میں Modals   استعمال ہوئے ہوں،اُن کو   Indirect    speech   میں تبدیل کرنے کے مندرجہ ذیل   rules    ہیں ۔
        Can,    May,    Must   کو     Could,    Might,    Had  to     میں تبدیل کیا جاتا ہے۔

CAN changes into Could
He said, “I can write an essay”.
He said that he could write an essay.
She said, “I can drive a car”.
She said that she could drive a car.
They said, “We can solve the problem”.
They said that they could solve the problem.
MAY changes into MIGHT
He said, “I may change my phone”.
He said that he might change his phone.
She said, “I may wash my shirt”.
She said that she might wash her shirt.
They said, “We may eat some food”.
They said that they might eat some food.
MUST changes into HAD TO
He said, “I must start a job”.
He said that he had to start a job.
She said, “I must help the poor kid”.
She said that she had to help the poor kid.
They said, “We must make a good decision”.
They said that they had to make a good decision.

        MIGHT,    SHOULD,    WOULD,    OUGHT TO,    WOULD  تبدیل نہیں ہوتے  اور   direct     speech  اور   indirect    speech    میں ایک جیسے رہتے ہیں۔
