Indirect Speech for Imperative & Exclamatory Sentences
Imperative Sentence
جن جملوں میں نصیحت ،درخواست یا حکم کا اظہار کیا گیا ہو،وہ imperative sentences کہلاتے ہیں۔
Examples:
Please help me. (
request)
Do not waste time. (
advice)
Open the door. (
order)
چونکہ Imperative sentence میں نصیحت ،درخواست یا حکم کا اظہار کیا گیا ہوتا ہے، اِس کے indirect speech میں request, order, advise جیسے الفاظ استعمال ہوتے ہیں ۔ مثلاً He advised. He ordered. He requested.
عام جملوں کی طرح imperative sentences کے indirect speech میں لفظ that استعمال نہیں ہوتا۔جملہ کے پہلے حصہ (reporting verb) کے بعد to یا not to لگا کر جملہ مکمل کیا جاتا ہے۔

She requested him to make tea for her.
I said to him, “Please do not disturb me”.
I requested him not to disturb me.
The old man said to him, “Always speak the truth”.
The old man advised him to always speak the truth.
Doctor said to him, “Do not smoke”.
Doctor advised him not to smoke.
He said to the boy, “Open the door”.
He ordered the boy to open the door.
He said to me, “Close the window”
He ordered me to close the window.
He said to his servant, “Wash the clothes.
He ordered his servant to wash the clothes.
Exclamatory Sentence
جن جملوں میں خوشی ، غمی ، یا حیرانی کا اظہار کیا گیا ہو،وہ exclamatory sentences کہلاتے ہیں۔
Examples.
Hurrah! I won the competition. (
Joy)
Alas! I failed my exam. (
Sorrow)
Wow! What a beautiful flower. (
Wonder/
Surprise)
چونکہ exclamatory sentence میں خوشی ، غمی ، یا حیرانی کا اظہار کیا گیا ہوتاہے، اِس کے indirect speech میں جملہ کے پہلے حصہ (reporting verb) میں exclaimed with joy, exclaimed with sorrow, exclaimed with wonder, جیسے الفاظ کا ستعمال ہوتا ہے۔

They exclaimed with joy that they had won a prize.
He said, “Alas! I failed the exam”.
He exclaimed with sorrow that he had failed the exam.
She said, “Alas! My brother died in a car accident”.
She exclaimed with sorrow that her brother had died in a car accident.
She said, “Wow! What a beautiful shirt it is”.
She exclaimed with wonder that what a beautiful shirt it was.
He said, “Wow! What an interesting story it is”.
He exclaimed with wonder that how interesting story it was.
He said to me, “Wow! How smart you are”.
He exclaimed with wonder that how smart I was.
