Rules for changing Tense in Passive Voice

Active    voice  کو   Passive    voice   میں تبدیل کرنے کے مندرجہ ذیل اُصول ہیں۔
        subject     اور    object  کی جگہوں کو آپس میں تبدیل کیا جاتاہے۔    subject   جملہ میں    object   کی جگہ پر چلا جاتا ہے، اور      object   جملہ میں   subject      کی جگہ پر آجاتا ہے
        Passive    voice    میں ہمیشہ   verb    کی تیسری فارم کا استعمال کیا جاتاہے، مثلاً   written,     eaten,۔
        Passive    voice  میں   subject   سے پہلےہمیشہ لفظ   “by”   کا استعمال کیا جاتا ہے۔
        اُوپر دئیےگئے تین بنیادی اُصول سارے   Tenses   کے لیے ایک جیسے ہیں۔ لیکن   Passive    voice   میں   auxiliary     verb  یعنی       is,     was,     will,     had   کو تبدیل کرنے کے    rules   مختلف   Tenses   کے لیے مختلف ہیں، جِس کی وضاحت نیچے کی گئی ہے۔

Present Indefinite Tense
Passive   voice   میں     is,    am,    are استعمال ہوگا
Active Voice
Passive Voice
She writes a poem.
A poem is written by her.
He eats an apple.
An apple is eaten by him.
I buy books.
Books are bought by me.
He helps me.
I am helped by him.
They make chairs.
Chairs are made by them.
Does he wash the car?
Is the car washed by him?
Do they eat vegetables?
Are vegetables eaten by them?

 

Present Continuous Tense
Passive    voice   میں    is    being,    am    being,    are    being استعمال ہوگا
Active Voice
Passive Voice
He is writing an essay.
An essay is being written by him.
She is singing a song.
A song is being sung by her.
I am drinking water.
Water is being drunk by me.
They are helping me.
I am being helped by them.
He is buying chairs.
Chairs are being bought by him.
Is she washing clothes?
Are clothes being washed by her?
Are they eating the meal?
Is the meal being eaten by them?

 

Present Perfect Tense
Passive    voice   میں    has    been,    have    been   استعمال ہوگا
Active Voice
Passive Voice
He has finished the work.
The work has been finished by him.
She has bought mangoes.
Mangoes have been bought by her.
I have written a letter.
A letter has been written by me.
They have made a plan.
A plan has been made by them.
You have worn a nice dress.
A nice dress has been worn by you.
Has he completed the task?
Has the task been completed by him?
Have they bought the books?
Have the book been bought by them?

 

Past Indefinite Tense
Passive    voice   میں       was,    wereاستعمال ہوگا
Active Voice
Passive Voice
I ate an apple.
An apple was eaten by me.
He wrote a letter.
A letter was written by him.
She studied the books.
The books were studied by her.
They bought a camera.
A camera was bought by them.
Did he see the cats?
Were cats seen by him?
Did they bring the computer?
Was the computer brought by them?

 

Past Continuous Tense
Passive    voice   میں    was    being,    were    being   استعمال ہوگا
Active Voice
Passive Voice
She was cleaning the room.
The room was being cleaned by her.
He was learning the lesson.
The lesson was being learnt by him.
She was teaching the kids.
The kids were being taught by her.
They were eating the meal.
The meal was being eaten by them.
Was he writing an essay?
Was an easy being written by him.
Were they playing games?
Were games being played by them?

 

Past Perfect Tense
Passive    voice   میں       had    beenاستعمال ہوگا
Active Voice
Passive Voice
He had finished the work.
The work had been finished by him.
She had studied the book.
The book had been studied by her.
They had passed the exam.
The exam had been passed by them.
Had he spent the money?
Had the money been spent by them?
Had they built the home?
Had the home been built by them?

 

Future Indefinite Tense
Passive    voice   میں    will    be,    shall    be   استعمال ہوگا
Active Voice
Passive Voice
He will buy a computer.
A computer will be bought by him.
She will write a story.
A story will be written by her.
I shall solve the problem.
The problem will be solved by me.
They will make chairs.
Chairs will be made by them.
We shall play a game.
A game will be played by us.
You will help me.
I shall be helped by you.
He will forget us.
We shall be forgotten by him.
Will he write a letter?
Will a letter be written by him?
Will they sing a song?
Will a song be sung by them?

 

Future Pefect Tense
Passive    voice   میں    will   have    been,    shall   have    been   استعمال ہوگا
Active Voice
Passive Voice
He will have eaten the meal.
The meal will have been eaten by him.
She will have cleaned the room.
The room will have been cleaned by her.
I shall have started a business.
A business will have been started by me.
They will have helped me.
I shall have been helped by them.
We shall have completed the task.
The task will have been completed by us.
You will have seen us.
We shall have been seen by you.
Will she have written poems?
Will poems have been written by her?
Will they have bought books?
Will books have been bought by them?

 

مندرجہ ذیل Tenses  کے جملے  Passive Voice میں تبدیل نہیں ہوسکتے۔

1. Present Perfect Continuous Tense
2. Past Perfect Continuous Tense
3. Future Continuous Tense
4. Future Perfect Continuous Tense

نوٹ:   Tenses   میں عام استعمال ہونے والے   auxiliary     verbs   یعنی   is,     was,     will,     had     کے علاوہ کچھ   auxiliary     verbs     ایسے بھی ہیں جنہیں عام طورپر     Tenses   Course   کا حصہ نہیں سمجھا جاتا لیکن  روز مرہ زندگی میں اُن کا استعمال ہوتا ہے ، مثلاً    can,     may,     should,     must,    وغیرہ ۔ اِن کو انگریزی میں ‏  Modals     کہتے ہیں۔جن جملوں میں   Modals   یعنی   can,    may,    should,    must,      ہوتا ہے ،اُن کو   Passive    voice   میں تبدیل کرنے کے   rules     آپ اِس ویب سائٹ کے اگلے صفحے پر پڑ ھ سکتے ہیں۔
